Arizona Police Association Stands with Tom O’Halleran
FLAGSTAFF – Today, Congressman Tom O’Halleran announced the endorsement of the Arizona Police Association for his re-election campaign for Arizona’s First Congressional District. The Arizona Police Association represents over 40 police organizations throughout the state of Arizona from local departments, to corrections officers’ associations to the officers assigned to protect our nation's border.
"The Arizona Police Association is proud to endorse Congressman Tom O'Halleran for reelection to Congress. As a former homicide investigator and undercover gang detective, Tom has put his life on the line to keep our communities safe. In Congress, he has a record of standing with Arizona law enforcement,” said APA President Joe Clure. “Tom's opponent is pushing disgusting, misleading attacks. Tom has a record of strengthening border security and opposes efforts to eliminate Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). We look forward to continuing to work with him as he works to keep Arizona communities safe."
“As a former police officer, I understand what it means to protect and serve and keep our communities safe,” said Congressman O’Halleran. “I am humbled to be endorsed by the Arizona Police Association and will continue to work in Congress to make sure that those serving our communities have the resources they need to be successful.”
Tom O’Halleran represents Arizona’s First Congressional District in Congress, where he fights to get rural communities the support they deserve. Tom’s priorities are protecting Social Security, standing up for Arizona families’ access to affordable health care, investing in rural infrastructure, and upholding our nation’s commitment to our veterans. He has been a strong voice for ethics and accountability, both in cracking down on perks for Members of Congress, and insisting the Administration abide by the law and ethical rules in spending and other actions. A resident of the Sedona area for over 20 years, Tom has committed his life to public service, working as a police officer, homicide detective and legislator focused on serving his constituents.
