Alliance for Retired Americans Endorses Tom O’Halleran

TUCSON – Today, Congressman Tom O’Halleran was endorsed by the Alliance for Retired Americans. With over 44,000 members in Arizona, the Alliance for Retired Americans works to make sure the rights of older Americans are protected. 1.3 million Arizonans receive Social Security, and over 1 million receive Medicare benefits, these are earned benefits that our seniors invested in over a lifetime of work, and need to be protected

"I am honored to be endorsed by the Alliance for Retired Americans. In Congress, I work every day to protect the rights and benefits of older Americans," said Congressman O’Halleran. “Standing up for the interests of our seniors has been a top priority of mine in Washington, and it will continue to be one. I’ve introduced and co-sponsored legislation to limit costs of drug prices, worked to protect Social Security and Medicare and have fought to protect access to good, affordable health care in rural America. I will continue to work with members of both parties to make sure the best interests of our seniors are represented in Congress.

Tom O’Halleran represents Arizona’s First Congressional District in Congress, where he fights to get rural communities the support they deserve. Tom’s priorities are protecting Social Security, standing up for Arizona families’ access to affordable health care, investing in rural infrastructure, and upholding our nation’s commitment to our veterans. He has been a strong voice for ethics and accountability, both in cracking down on perks for Members of Congress, and insisting the Administration abide by the law and ethical rules in spending and other actions. A resident of the Sedona area for over 20 years, Tom has committed his life to public service, working as a police officer, homicide detective and legislator focused on serving his constituents.
